Wigmore Hall, W1U 2BP , [Venue Details]

This concert will be approximately 90 minutes in duration, without an interval.

Tuesday,
22 Oct 2024
@7.30pm

Due to unforeseen circumstances, Luques Curtis (bass) is no longer able to take part in the above concert. We are grateful to Thibaud Soulas (bass) who will join as his replacement. The programme remains the same.

Cuban-born pianist and composer Harold López-Nussa makes his Wigmore Hall debut, following the international success of his first Blue Note album Timba a la Americana. This album, produced by Snarky Puppy bandleader Michael League, explores music inspired by López-Nussa’s recent decision to leave his Cuban homeland and begin a new life in France. The result is a lavishly colourful modernisation of Latin jazz, with joy and pathos in equal measure.
